4th of July Party
On Saturday, we went to the Nedwicke’s Annual 4th of July party. We met Mom and Dad Smith in Vancouver for breakfast, then made our way north to Mayfield Lake in Mossy Rock, WA. We had a great time! We got schooled in bocci ball, but Mike showed all the UW Huskies how a Duck handles the beer bong. They were impressed. Ryan created a real trophy for the person or group who out-performed all others. It was made out of Busch beer cans and actually had plaques on it that could be engraved. Everyone’s goal was to either get the trophy or avoid it. Mike was in the running for the trophy until he passed out early.
We stayed just the one night again this year. It was tough to leave the next morning, not only because we weren’t feeling 100%, but also because the weather was so beautiful and we were enjoying relaxing at the lake. Unfortunately, I had to drive to Grant’s Pass, Oregon on Monday for a perpetuation deposition, so we really did not have the option of staying another night. We are thinking about staying two nights next year.
