New York in December

A client invited me to a panel counsel meeting just before the DRI Insurance Coverage conference in NY.  I was able to schedule a deposition in NY that same week.  So, I am spending 7 nights in NY.  Very cool.  Mike is flying in on Wednesday.

I love NY.  Times Square is fantastic and lively.  The first night I was here, I ate at an empanada cart while watching street dancing in Times Square.  Empanadas – who knew I liked them so much?  

I met my client on Monday for deposition preparation at Harborside, NJ.  The view of Manhattan and the Freedom Trower at One World Trade Center was stunning.  The next day, the deposition was just off Wall Street, so I briefly checked out the NY Stock Exchange Building.  

I treated myself to the Broadway show The Lion King on Tuesday, after the deposition.  It was simply amazing.  I loved the music, the acting, the dancing and the colors in the set design and costumes.  The show ended around 9:30pm.  On the walk back to the hotel, I stopped by the  cart again for an apple/Nutella empanada.  Yum!
