New York continued
Mike made it in. He was tired from traveling. We ate dinner at the same restaurant we really enjoyed last year – The House of Brews. They have a killer Big Burrito with beef brisket that we shared. And for dessert – deep fried Oreos. Those are just ridiculous.
The next day, Thursday, I went to the DRI conference and Mike worked in the hotel. It was mostly a day of work for us though we did explore a little that evening while looking for a restaurant for dinner. We had the deep fried Oreos for dessert again – yum!
Friday was much more fun. I had a half day at the conference. On my way to the conference, I noticed a sidewalk show, like the one James Cordon does. People were signing and dancing in the crosswalk during red traffic signals. I texted Mike and watched it for a bit before going to my conference. Mike later video’d some of the same show and showed me his video of some sailors dancing. Later that evening, I was reading people.com and saw that James Cordon did a sidewalk show in NY that day. On closer look, he, Zach Enron and Hugh Jackson were singing and dancing as sailors. We watched Mike’s video again and, after zooming in…sure enough, he video’d them. That was awesome.
We also went back to the empanada cart so Mike could try one and then we walked around quite a bit. We accidentally found Trump Tower and kept walking. That evening, we returned to The House of Brews for nachos because our dinner was a little too light and too early.
