Running here required an extra running implement – bear spray. I wasn’t sure I really wanted to carry it for the long run I had planned but we have seen several bears and the one walking on the road yesterday wasn’t that far away. As I ran along a beautiful, woodsy trail all alone, I was glad to have packed it. It was a wonderful run (1:50) along several trails that a park ranger recommended.
