On the road again

Prepping for this trip took way longer than we anticipated, but we are excited to be on the road again. We had a last minute surprise and found a couple rats in the truck engine literally the day after we replaced the air filter. Their residency was short-lived, but did involve a middle-of-the night eviction attempt. Apparently, the smell of lemon-scented Lysol and laundry dryer sheets wasn’t appealing.

Last night, we stayed at the Tumalo State Park to flesh out the experience. We still need a few minor things but nothing requiring us to return home. We did have a hot water issue last night and this morning, which we figured out. It seems there’s always something to figure out/remember with every trip. We got that out of the way. Today, it’s off to Shasta Lake!
