Things Are Picking Up

What a week.

We got the Tesla.  We love it, especially Mike. He’s been looking for excuses to go to Redmond just so he can drive it.  We paid for the Full Self Driving software, which would have required us to pass a driving safety test to access the FSD.  However, the day after we got the car, Tesla announced everyone with FSD capability would have access to it without the safety test.  Since our car has the newest software, we’re on the bottom of the list for the update.  That just gives us more time to get used to the car.  Before you know it, I’ll be saying “Car, drive me to Work” and it’ll drive me to Portland - crazy.

We got our bikes.  We picked them up on Wednesday and had our inaugural ride Thanksgiving morning in lieu of a Turkey Trot.  We love them.  We went for another ride this morning.  Half-way through the ride, we took a trail onto BLM property, stashed the bikes behind some trees and hiked a steep incline to the rim rock.  Mike found some potential climbing routes, which are just a short bike ride from the house.  We already planned our next ride.

We had a great Thanksgiving with Mom and Dad.  As always, there was too much food so we’re enjoying the leftovers.

I had an MRI and the results don’t appear to be great.  I have a doctor’s appointment on Monday to discuss them and the plan moving forward.  The good news is that cycling doesn’t cause me any back issues, though I’d really like to cycle as cross-training for running.  Fingers crossed.
