We Got A VIN! Everything’s Coming Up Milhouse

The Tesla is coming.  We received our VIN late the night of 11/16, and we should get the car by the end of the month or very early in December.  We’re so excited, especially Mike.  We ordered the car in April, unfortunately, right when everyone else was ordering too because of increased gas prices due to the Ukraine/Russia war.  It’s taken quite a bit longer than we hoped (but not longer than Tesla told us it might take).  We didn’t put snow tires on the Acura this year and have been waiting to do some thing’s until the Tesla came, like visit Prineville (which has some cycling trails), go to the brewery in Mitchell, Oregon that we’ve wanted to visit for a while and take a road trip to the coast.  Only 6 to 15 days left…and counting.

Our bikes have been slightly delayed, we should get them early next week.  In the meantime, REI had a great sale and we bought gear.  So much fun!  Mike may not have had fun putting together our new bike rack, but it looks cool and matches our theme.  The rack is gray, our Tesla is Midnight Silver Metallic and the bikes are Smoke.  We’re naming the car Smoke too.

We went for a fun hike at the Juniper trailhead to check out the Maston trails again.  I’ve ran on some of them but we wanted to see how they would be for cycling.  We’re not hard-core mountain biking but trail riding, and the trails are perfect.  Plus, it was a lovely day and warmed up to the 40s so a hike was just what we needed.
