Running NY!
It’s the 50th Anniversary of the NY Marathon, and I’m running it. Yeah! Mike is here with me. New York is buzzing with runners and well-wishers and marathons jackets. I love it. And even before I got here, I had well-wishes from a lot of people. It’s really touching to know people are thinking of me.
Here’s our story:
In the Seattle airport on the way to NY. Notice the sweatshirt.
Made it to the hotel and this may be on the menu for Saturday night.
Dinner at a local pub. We love these pubs in New York.
Dorky running picture at the Expo on Saturday morning.
Not the healthiest lunch but there are a lot of carbs in a pretzel, right?
Ready to run.
At the Athletes’ Village, trying to stay warm and then getting ready to run.
The race start, half-way through, a spectator and the finish.
Finished at 4:45:50 - 10:55 pace. Success.
