It was a fantastic weekend.

I spent eight days on the road. First, two days in Chicago at the DRI Surety Roundtable and then five days in Philadelphia for the FDCC Litigation Management College (I loved it!). During that time, Mike was working his tail off and on dog duty. We deserved a nice Memorial Day weekend.

We spent the weekend in central Oregon. We spent a great day with Mom and Dad on Friday and then two relaxing days on the property. (We really need to come up with a better name for it.) We explored Redmond, visited the Wild Ride brewery, hiked around the BLM land, ran to Eagle Crest and walked around it, got too much sun, watched sunrises and sunsets, ate a lot, didn’t sleep enough, and saw: a vulture, a snake, chipmunks, deer, two young colts, and a bunny.

And then today, we started our hop farm. Meet Alpha, our first hop plant.
