Rockin’ Boulder: Just Say “No” to Utah and “Hello Idaho”
Yesterday was a long day. We had a nice walk along the state park before a nine hour drive. The drive was fairly uneventful. We zipped through Utah without stopping. Driving from Provo through Salt Lake sucked. The construction was awful and the temporary lanes were skinny and swervy with people driving around 70 mph. But, we made it to Idaho. We stayed at Lake Walcott State Park, which was 20 minutes off the freeway and into the middle of nowhere. I was a little skeptical driving here but the park is really nice. It’s on a large reservoir and well-maintained with, hopefully, a great trail to run on (we’ll test it later this morning). It’s sunny and warm, so we had a much-needed touchdown beer under our awning and enjoyed a quiet evening.
