A Weekend in Gearhart

We are staying at the Gearhart McMenamins hotel. Mike booked us a special room with a beer-themed reservation so we get to fill a growler and taster trays in the restaurant for “free” with our room. We had a nice early dinner last night. They have a good menu. Then, we had another snack later, after we searched the hotel to find the picture that would earn us the hotel stamp in our passport books.  

This morning, we were on the search for coffee and breakfast. The restaurants don’t open until 7:00am. We finally decided to split a meal at the hotel, it was good. Then we drove to Seaside and walked around the downtown area looking into the windows of the closed shops. 

There is a wind advisory today, so what did we do?  We went for a run on the beach. The wind and sand and rain burned when it hit our faces. It was a tough run but we enjoyed it.
