Mike surprised me when I came home from work. The house was warm, the fire going and on the glass table was a bottle of wine, a lit candle, chocolate chip cookies he baked (from dough in the freezer), M&Ms, a picture of us, French bread, and a carved, wooden bear. It was a fabulous surprise. We had a nice dinner of tortellini, bread and wine. We sat and talked for a long while and finished the evening watching Battlestar Gallactica on the couch with the dog between us. It was the perfect night.
Iris didn’t have a great day. She visited the vet for an annual checkup. We were surprised to find out she had a yeast infection in her ear. No wonder why she was digging at it. Now we get to rinse out her ear frequently. That will be fun.
