It’s been an unexpected 24 hours. We didn’t make it to the Kona Brewery music last night or the salt water pool. Late that afternoon, I got the chills, a headache, body aches, and felt a little nauseous. We thought it was too much sun and I was dehydrated- at least that was according to our self-diagnosis by Internet. We spent the evening reading and being mellow.
This morning, Mike went to Safeway for me at 4:00 a.m. to get some medicine and Sprite. Isn’t he the best! It was an unpleasant morning for me. Clearly, I caught the flu. So, we’ve been reading this morning, napping off and on, and doing a little shopping. We just got back from lunch at the brewery. Their pizza is really good. While I would have preferred not to have gotten sick on our vacation, it’s been quite relaxing today and nice sitting on the lanai with our iPads.

We just swam in the salt water pool at the condo. The pool overlooks the ocean and it was wonderful to swim and watch the waves crashing. We’ll probably have a mellow night tonight and, hopefully, we can hike to some beaches and explore north of here tomorrow.
