Exercise Room & Backyard Update
Last Monday, Drew and I went to another Boulder Joust. Mike wasn’t feeling up to it. I had a fabulous night and completed seven routes. I was feeling really strong. I also won a free shirt – yeah! Our climbing gym puts on a series of three jousts within six weeks and keeps track of each climber’s running total. Mike and I are now tied at 12 completed routes each.
Mike has not felt very strong at the climbing gym recently. In fact, he has not had a good climb for quite a while. We’ve decided to start eating healthier and working out again. Hopefully, that will kick his not-climbing-well streak.
This weekend, we bought a blind and frames for the exercise room. We also started working on the back yard. We’ve decided to redo the yard ourselves (again). We have already created a design for the yard and an action list. This week, we hope to get the truck running again (dead battery, hopefully), make sure we don’t need a permit to install a sprinkler system and get the yard ready for demolition. Next Saturday is Demolition Day! We plan to rent a rototiller and tear apart the yard.
Mike is doing fabulously with Coign Studio. He is excited about the direction of his work – producing interactive videos, mostly to be used on the internet. The videos combine flash and video. It’s innovative work because, right now, you cannot find such videos on the internet yet. He is currently working with Planar on these videos and hopes to extend his clientèle and really focus on this form of media.
3 more days and we will have been together for 4 years!!!!
