Wiring Lights
We had a very good weekend. After a frustrating trip to Lowe’s and Home Depot, where we were unable to buy the tile we wanted for above the bathtub in the master bath, Mike and I turned out attention to the lights in the theater room. Mike had already cut the four holes in the ceiling, so it was time to wire the lights. Both of us went into the attic and attacked the project. We did the wiring correctly on the first try! The theater room looks so much better – so much brighter.
On Sunday, it took some motivational speaking from Mike to get me out the door to run. The wind was blowing 25 mph and it was starting to rain. I was not excited about going on a long run, but I have a ½ marathon next weekend on Wildwood Trail in Washington Park. I made it to the trail head, even though I seriously contemplated turning around. It was a good thing I ran on the trail today because it was a HARD run and now I can reasonably estimate a goal to finish the race. I only ran 10 miles today and I walked some of the trail. My energy level was very low. I wonder if Goo would help during the race. Anyway, I finished the run.
When I got back to the truck, I called Mike and learned that Fred and Amy were coming over to the house in an hour to borrow the tile saw. Yikes – the house was a mess. Mike did some serious housecleaning while I made lunch. The house looks, and feels, so much better now that it’s clean. Fred and Amy appreciated the improvements we’ve made.
At the climbing gym, Mike put me on the rope for the first time in this gym. I was a little afraid at first, but I made it to the top – 3 times. Yeah! Mike didn’t have a strong climb, but it’s always fun to go to the gym. It was a good and successful weekend and we hope the weather is nice next weekend so we can work on the yard.
