Pacific City

Mike and I didn’t do a whole lot this past week.  We’re both busy working.  The weather has been very hot, so we only went climbing once.  Hopefully that will change this week.

However, our weekend was great!  We went camping at Pacific City with Mom and Dad Smith.   The RV park was nice and there were wild rabbits everyone.  We had dinner at the Pelican brew pub (twice) and watched the surfers practice for a competition that weekend.  We also hiked 2.4 miles from the parking lot to the point at Cape Lookout.  It was beautiful.  Molly had a great time chasing the chipmunks on the trail and pining after the rabbits at the RV park.  We also went to Cape Meares and looked at the lighthouse, the “Octopus Tree” and had a picnic.  This morning, I ran along the beach, which was nice but the fog made it a little creepy.  It was a great weekend!

Of course, we ended up getting a little too much sun, so Sunday is another “Smith Lazy Day”.
